Two years ago I had to immobilize, simultaneously, two lions (the Two Inseparable Brothers) to remove a snare from one and amputate what was left of the right paw of the other – the toes having been mangled by a gin trap (a savage device poachers use to trap animals). Since then there have been sightings of the Brothers between Roads 4 and 6 of the road network near Chitengo Camp, indicating that sometimes these brothers move many kilometers in one night.

Faz agora dois anos, tive de imobilizar, simultaneamente, dois leões (os Dois Irmãos Inseparáveis) a fim de remover uma armadilha de um deles e amputar o que restou da pata direita do outro – as garras tendo sido estropiadas por uma armadilha (um dispositivo selvático que os caçadores furtivos usam para apanhar animais). Desde então, os irmãos foram avistados entre as picadas 4 e 6 da rede de estradas perto do campo de Chitengo, o que indicia claramente que, por vezes, estes irmãos deslocam-se muitos quilómetros numa só noite.
